Tjeerd de Vries

Tjeerd de Vries was a Director Treasury and Director Corporate Finance at Achmea Bank and Achmea Holding, before co-founding Theta in 2001. Prior to that, Tjeerd was a Director at Bank Labouchère (1990-1993), and Deputy Director of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets at Rabobank International (1993-1998). Tjeerd started his career as Treasurer at the Dutch Gasunie (1977-1986) and Executive Director at Swiss Bank Corporation in London and Amsterdam (1986-1989). Tjeerd studied at the University of Twente and obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering and business administration (1977).
