Reorganisation of Theta Funds
Theta Capital announces a reorganisation of the Theta Legends Fund, Theta Medium Volatility Fund and Theta Deep Value Fund. The reorgansiation is the result of a change in Theta Capital's business focus from publicly offered fund of hedge funds to managing individual, customized portfolios of hedge funds for large investors.
We consider economies of scale to be critical for the fund of funds management side of our business. While Theta Capital currently has sufficient scale, we have not been immune to the continuing outflows from smaller players as ourselves into funds of funds of bigger size. By offering investors to switch into the funds of Banque Privée Edmond the Rothschild this scale is pro-actively safeguarted for the future. At the same time Theta sees increasing demand from sophisticated investors for individual hedge fund solutions in order to have full control over their holdings and to have the portfolio meet their individual preferences of investment horizon, liquidity, risk profile and reporting. Theta has been offering customized solutions for over 10 years, and has decided that going forward it will fully concentrate on and augment these activities.
Due to the reorganisation, participants of the publicly offered funds need to fill out a Preference Form for their Theta Fund holding(s), in which a choice can be made for one or more of 5 Prifund Alpha Funds managed by Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild in Geneva. Theta Legends Fund participants have the additional option of switching into Theta Legends XL which is the exchange listed sister fund of Theta Legends. The Letters in the table below provide further background and details per fund and for each of the three funds a Preference Form is attached.
A Dutch letter is available discussing the implications for all three funds: Nederlandstalige brief.
Below, we provide links to the latest monthly factsheets of the Prifund Alpha Funds. You will be directed to a page with a disclaimer. After indicating you're an investor from The Netherlands you will be directed to the November monthly report.
